Hi, I'm Jinnie.

I was just a girl growing up in Myanmar, where kindness is part of everyday life. Although life has taken me far from home, those values continue to shape the person I am today. Moving to the Netherlands meant leaving behind my family, my childhood, and everything familiar. It also meant finding the strength to build a new life from the beginning.

I never studied art. During the quiet months of the COVID pandemic, I picked up a paintbrush simply to pass the time. I didn’t know then that I had found the place where my mind could finally become still. My journey has not always been peaceful. Like many people, I have experienced loss, change, uncertainty, and emotions that often felt too big for words.

Painting gives me the rest that I often struggle to find in everyday life. It allows me to slow down, quiet my mind, and transform emotions into peaceful places. That is why most of my art is serene landscapes, not because the world is always peaceful, but because my heart longs for it.

Art has never been about creating something “perfect” for me. It has always been about creating something honest. I paint with a feeling that cannot always be expressed in words. Nature is my greatest inspiration because it reminds me that even after the strongest storms, there is always calm.

My hope is that every painting carries that same sense of calm to someone else. If my work can offer you even a single moment of peace, reflection, or comfort, then I have shared something truly meaningful.
